The Witcher: Season 1, Episode 2: Four Marks

The Witcher. In this episode you see the introduction of Witches and Magick. You get your first introduction to Yennefer of Vengerberg played by Anya Chalotra. Yennefer a deformed, mistreated daughter of a farmer gets sold off to a mean Witch against her will. She is angry at herself and her life’s misfortune.

Terrified and afraid, she emarks on learning how to utilize her untapped powers as a conjugate of chaos.

Yennefer has to under go various trial to see if she is worthy … is she? Can she control her emotions to succeed, does she have what it takes?

Yennefer falls for a Wizard/Scorcerer Istredd, who teaches her about Magick. All she wants is to be good at something and to be beautiful and feel worthy of love. But is he being true to her or does he have ulterior motives …

Meanwhle, Princess Cirilla is on the run, hiding in the freezing cold woods, lost and not knowing where to go or what to do as she is searches for Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher). She stummbles across some much needed help and finds her fellow citizens of Cintra. Princess Ciri realizes a few new truths and that she isn’t as safe as she first thought.

The Witcher, Geralt if Rivia can be found brooding in a local pub when he meets a charming entertainer who goes by the name of Dandelion (aka Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount de Lettenhove) played by Joey Batey who sings about monsters, he befriends the Witcher and tags along (perhaps to get some new material for a song), after he accepts a job from a local man who pays him to kill a devil that has been terrorizing his fields. An unexpected turn of events occur as the Witcher and Dandelion find themselves in a spot of unexpected trouble with some Elves. The Elves have been forced out of their land and are angry, looking for war with the humans.

This episode ends with the introduction of the Witcher song “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” an amazingly catchy and uplifing song, which, if you are interested in listening to – you can, by clicking HERE! or, just watch the video below:
